It has been a while since I made a post. I figured I should give a shout out that this site / game is not dead. I have been doing several updates over the last few months but not posted about them. I do hope to get more time in the next few weeks to finish some of the big updates I was working on. But until then keep on trading!

I have not posted in several months but that dosen't mean I haven't been working on shipwars.
I had to take some time off for work and getting bills caught up but now with several months off soon I will be releasing some pretty cool updates.
I think I will be following through with a game reset as well since there are are stupid amounts of cash out, but I will be doing a test run before hand to test out the AI system.
The next big update will be tech tree and freighters which will really change how the game is played.

There will be 2 updates coming in the next day or two.
Sector attacking (with only fighters) Sending fighters to attack a sector. Sending fighters to a sector will clear out sector fighters, defences (base stars), and mines. This will obviously be expensive but a much needed update as once a planet becomes a month old they are impossible to attack with your ship. The cost will be 5 energy per ship (ships and energy on planet) and 5 turns. The planned math will be: (((Attacker_ships - (defender_mines)) - defender_ships) - defender_basestar) Meaning an attacker must destroy their mine field first and then sector…

Working on different planet types and the bonuses they give. Bonuses will be based on the "planet type". For example Terran planets will offer higher growths to colonies, while vocanic planets will have higher increases in ore refining. Also planets will have different population limits. For example terran planets are perfect for humans so the planets can hold more people. Where vocanic planets have a more harsh enviorment for humans. With this update it will mean people will be more interested in finding pre-existing planets as planets created with genesis torpedos will not have any extra values too them and will have a base population…

Ticks have been started and the new round starts today.
I will be using this round for beta testing as well as adding features so expect random changes while playing this round.
There will be some big additions added this round, like updates to defending planets (base stars, sending fighters to attack planets, etc) so I will post when that occures.
I will post a more up to date list of features coming as well as all ready added later.
